This photo I took of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia is actually one of my favorites. But I was surprised and flattered that it ended up on the cover of Journey Magazine, AAA Washington’s membership travel magazine, reaching over 675,000 members in Washington State, Oregon and Northern Idaho. Someone recently remarked to me that I am a people photographer. Funny…I don’t think of myself that way. I DO like photographing people, but I also enjoy the act of taking and making all kinds of photos. So, I decided that I would go out and find some street art in the Little Vietnam neighborhood of Chicago while Judy was leading a book club nearby. Judy and I traveled to Cuba as part of a photography workshop. An amazing experience! Such a beautiful and colorful island community. So warm and friendly. I am going to focus my attention in this blog on the People of Cuba. That is, photos that include the diverse and interesting people I encountered and, in most cases, met. (more…)
